Level: Beginner
Duration: 2’40
Instrumentation: Flute and Harp Duet, or 2 Harps Duet, or Large Ensemble of Flutes and Harps (or Pianos)
A beloved traditional French carol, “Angels We Have Heard On High” has been given a fresh new treatment for flute and harp or piano. This easy-to-play arrangement can be performed either as a flute and harp (or piano) duet, as a 2 harps duet, or as a flute ensemble with one or two accompanying harps. All combinations are equally effective and allow beginners to join in. It is a perfect choice for Christmas services or concerts, as well as a great teaching piece for 3rd year flute, harp and piano students!
The PDF file includes a score and 6 parts: flute 1, flute 2, flute 3, alto flute, harp (or piano) 1, harp (or piano) 2. To play the piece as a duet, use the “flute 2” part together with “harp (or piano) 1”.
The piece lasts about 1 minute without repeat, and 2 minutes with repeats. It is suitable for lever harp as well as pedal harp. This arrangement is part of a collection of Christmas Favorites for Flute & Harp (or Piano) by Traversées.
