Five senior flutists from Traver’sons (the amateur orchestra mentored by Ensemble Traversées) have been invited to perform a concert at “Sénior Billaudel” retirement home. They have prepared a musical voyage around the world for the occasion.

Acclaimed musicians Myriam Darmé, Frank Vassallucci and Maia Darmé form a unique flute, bassoon and harp trio.

From renaissance music to movie soundtracks through folk melodies, they make a strong case for the versatility of their instruments (two bassoons, three harps and twenty different flutes!). Classical masterpieces round up their repertoire, with the likes of Bach, Berlioz, Massenet, Jolivet and Bizet.

On the occasion of the Assumption, they will dedicate their program to the most beautiful tributes to the Virgin Mary. A chance to hear beloved Ave Marias by Bach-Gounod, Schubert, Caccini, Piazzolla, Haydn or Mascagni, but also to discover moving traditional prayers and works by Braun, Guilain, Boëllmann and Dandrieu.
