Since 2016, flutist Myriam Darm\u00e9 and harpist Maia Darm\u00e9 have been regularly joined on stage by renowned organist Philippe Bezkorowajny. This instrumental combination gives the musicians access to a wide-ranging repertoire. When they are not casting light on unfairly forgotten works, they brilliantly interpret their own transcriptions and arrangements. The trio offers many different recital programs, focusing for instance on “Baroque Europe”; “The Most Beautiful Ave Marias” (including works by Bach-Gounod, Schubert, Caccini, Piazzolla, Mozart, Haydn Waud, Mascagni as well as beautiful folk prayers, from the Middle East of the first centuries CE to 20th century Latin America via medieval Ireland) or \u201cEscales\u201d (an invitation to journey, from one world to another).<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

A packed audience greeted the performers. The technical challenge of synchronizing sounds from diametrically opposed locations — the harp and flute in the church choir, and the organ in its gallery — was successfully met. The program was eclectic, featuring pieces from the 11th century to the late 20th century. Myriam Darm\u00e9, Philippe Bezkorowajny and Maia Darm\u00e9 were all classically trained at the best conservatoires and lead brilliant individual careers. Myriam Darm\u00e9<\/a>, multi-instrumentalist flautist and show producer, is also a recognized pedagogue and author of numerous publications for her instrument. Philippe Bezkorowajny<\/a>, organist in residence at Sainte Marie Bastide and Sainte Croix in Bordeaux, is a leading figure of the organ in South West France (President of the regional Association for the Development of the Organ in Aquitaine, he authored several book on his instrument). As for Maia Darm\u00e9<\/a>, she is a virtuoso soloist in demand on all continents, and tours the world as a classical harpist a well as performing on instruments ranging from electric to traditional harps.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
